Some Odd Girl ~ Snow Fun Tia

Hi Friends!

I hope this post is finding you warm and toasty during these winter months. I am about to have my second surgery of this winter but luckily SOG allowed me to just do 1 card for November and one in December which really helped me a lot.

I have colored up "Snow Fun Tia" today for my project and I had so much fun creating this card for all of you.

This card just sparkles. I have used lots of glitter card stock to create a snowflake background perfect for Snow Fun Tia!!! Isn't she beautiful? She seems so joyous to me. It reminds me of when I was a little girl wanting to play in the snow.

Above is a close up of my coloring. I have used Copic alcohol markers. Before coloring this I had not looked at the image in the advertising of this digital stamp. It was also colored in the same color scheme. Such a funny coincidence.

You guys are going to want to run over to the Some Odd Girl website to purchase this little Tia stamp. It is so fun for your winter cards.... Here is one last look... Have a wonderful winter everyone! Melanie

Some Odd Girl ~ Kiss a Prince Tia

Welcome back friends!

Today I would love to share a fun little project with all of you. I am using "Kiss a Prince Tia" from the Some Odd Girl online store. She was so adorable and as soon as I saw her I knew I wanted to create a scene card. I did not realize at the time that Some Odd Girl has the PERFECT CUT File which can be downloaded. CLICK HERE! to check out the file.

As you can see I created a scene using some dies from my stash. They are from C.C. Designs. I have. colored this adorable stamp using Copic alcohol markers. I then added some glitter pen to her crown as well as some colored pearls just to add a touch of royalty! Here is a close up photo...

Here is one last look to my project this week. I hope it inspires you to grab "Kiss a Prince Tia" from the online store and have a fun time coloring her with your favorite medium.

Some Odd Girl ~ Laptop Toby

Welcome Back Friends,

Today I am here to share my Son's 21st. birthday card. I am using the Some Odd Girl "Laptop Toby" Digital image. My son Zachary is a gamer and his favorite color is blue. It is so hard to find good images for Men. This is such a great image to use for all of those masculine cards!!!

I kept the card design pretty simple and let the image speak for itself. With just a couple of designer papers and dies I was able to create this card pretty quickly.
Here is a close up of Laptop Toby to show my coloring up close. I used Alcohol markers to color this fun digi.

Here is one last look at today's card. If you are not already visiting Some Odd Girl on Facebook click HERE to join our Facebook Community. We would love to inspire you on a daily basis :-)

Some Odd Girl ~ Butterfly Friend Fairy

Hello Friends,

I have a super fun card to share with all of you today. I am using the Butterfly Friend Fairy stamp by Some Odd Girl. She was such fun to color!

For the background I used fun stencils and stamps by Crafter's Companion to create this fairy scene. I love how the branch part of the stencil turned out. I inked it completely with light brown ink to begin then I gently touched a darker brown ink in various areas of the stamp to make it look more realistic. It was quite fun!

Here is a close up showing my coloring. I colored her with Copic markers.

One last look.... Do you belong to our Some Odd Girl Community over on Facebook? If not CLICK on over and join us for daily inspiration.

Until next time my friends... Hugs, Melanie

Some Odd Girl ~ Lounge Fairy

Hello Friends,

I almost missed my important Tuesday post for Some Odd Girl ;-) I had such fun coloring this digital image. Everyone knows how much I love Fairies. So had to use Lounge Fairy in a project. Lets take a look...

I colored this darling fairy with Spectrum Noir Alcohol markers. The shape of my card came from a Crafter's Companion Die set that I purchased from HSN. The dies and papers are also Crafter's Companion and the paper flowers are from my stash. Here is a close up of this awesome digital stamp all colored up...

You cannot tell by the photo but I used some sparkle pen in yellow on her wings.

Have you used Digital images before? If not Some Odd Girl has a "Getting Started with Digital Images" free download. Simply click HERE to view that.

LDRS Creative ~ Nuts About You!

Hi Friends,

Welcome back! Thank you for visiting us today.
I have a fun fall card for you all today. This was made using the "Nuts About You" Stamp set by LDRS Creative.

For this project I have stamped watercolor paper with our LDRS Hybrid Ink Pad in Raven. Then I colored these adorable stamps with watercolor pencils. Here is a close up of the coloring.

I am brand new at water coloring so this was a labor of love for sure. I loved learning to blend the leaves especially with yellow, orange, and red. Aren't fall colors beautiful?
